– Shingle Creek Restoration
The city of Brooklyn Park has voted
5-2 to approve Wenck Associates, Inc.'s restoration
plan for Shingle Creek. The watershed will contribute $75,000 to the project.

18, 2005 the St. Paul Pioneer Press ran an article detailing the Rice Creek Watershed’s “One-Stop
Shopping to Restore Your Yard and Shore” program. This program makes it easier for residents to create rain
gardens, which are essential to maintaining water quality in an urban setting.
